Compact Track Loaders Market: Contractors’ preference is shifting from skid steers to compact track loaders in the U.S.

DUBLIN 2, Ireland, 30-Oct-2018 — /EPR CONSTRUCTION NEWS/ — Fact.MR, a leading research firm that tracks markets across 150 countries, has recently announced the launch of its study that provides a scrutinized analysis on compact track loader market. This study is an all-inclusive compilation of insights on production and sales of compact track loader across countries, including the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and Greater China.

Sample of the report is available at https://www.factmr.com/connectus/sample?flag=S&rep_id=1661

Key insights from the report:

  • U.S. will retain its lead in compact track loader sales, accounting for over 75% volume share of the overall industry in 2018
  • Demand is increasing in Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and China – these four markets will collectively account for over 10% market volume share in 2018
  • Contractors’ preference is shifting from skid steers to compact track loaders in the U.S., to realize enhanced productivity and uptime at lower operating expenses
  • Construction and landscaping & maintenance have traditionally remained prominent applications of compact track loaders
  • Compact track loader sales are increasing in the agriculture sector, particularly for producers who require extra traction, and additional floatation, according to Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM)

U.S. – Largest Compact Track Loader Market

Compact track loader continues to dig out a larger niche in the U.S. construction equipment industry. “Demand for compact tracker loaders is particularly robust in the rental space, with more and more rental centers including compact equipment fleets in their portfolio. Effective operation in ground conditions where skid steers are not as effective in wet or soft soil has further upheld compact track loader rentals, enabling customers to stay productive and meet tight schedules at affordable investments,” says Mohit Loshali, Senior Consultant at Fact.MR.

“Market penetration of compact track loaders in emerging markets will increase if customers are educated well on availability of various attachments. Tight labor and stricter deadlines in emerging markets, compared to their developed competitors, have made timely availability of the equipment essential. This further points at relative proliferation of compact track loaders in the rental industry,” adds Mr. Loshali.

Product and business strategies of manufacturers, vendors, and other stakeholders of the compact track loader industry have also been tracked in key sections of the study. Fact.MR study includes detailed profiling of key players operating in the compact track loader market, which include

Construction Payment Startup CEO Honored at BuiltWorlds’ Mavericks Awards

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, 2018-Apr-14 — /EPR CONSTRUCTION NEWS/ — Steve Wightman, Founder and CEO of disruptive construction payment technology company, BuildPay, has been chosen as part of BuiltWorlds’ first-ever Mavericks Report: “25 Pioneers Who’ve Transformed The Built Industry,” a recognition of the movers and shakers who are shaping the future of AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) and RE (real estate) industries.

BuiltWorlds is a global online resource for players in the AEC/RE fields.

The prestigious award puts Wightman alongside some of the top disrupters in the industry, including: Elon Musk, Founder of Tesla, Adam Neumann of WeWork and Michael Marks of Katerra, among others.

“Maverick is a word I’ve not heard appreciated in a long time. I’m humbled to be part of such a hard-hitting list,” said Wightman.

BuildPay is a construction payment platform built to directly combat the construction industries’ chronic cash-flow issues and notorious payment chaos. The online platform was built in 2017 and began deploying to construction funding institutions recently, but the solution had been evolving and refining since Hurricane Andrew in 1992 when Wightman began proving there was a better way to build, supported by smarter payment. Costs dropped and work accelerated.

“Nobody is doing construction payment right, as evidenced by our industry having the longest accounts receivable and least access to working capital of any segment worldwide,” said Wightman. “Payment is the one thing that all construction has in common and is the lifeblood of projects, so that’s the only thing we focused on solving.”

Wightman and the other mavericks were recognized at the recent BuiltWorlds Summit in Chicago on Thursday, presented by Autodesk. The BuiltWorlds Summit is a gathering of 250 c-suite executives and innovation heads from the built world.

Baton Rouge Based Roof Crafters Launches New CRM Software For Clients

CRM Product Launch from Roof Crafters

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 2016-Oct-12 — /EPR Network/ — Chuck Magee, construction professional and owner of Louisiana-based roofing company Roof Crafters, is proud to offer Louisiana clients more access and insight into the progress of their roofing projects.

baton-rouge-roofing-contractors

As the most technically advanced roofing contractor anywhere, Chuck Magee and Roof Crafters have taken full advantage of cloud technology and developed their own proprietary cloud-based software system. This intuitive, easy-to-use system is only available in Louisiana to Roof Crafters clients.

Utilizing SSA Store Share Access, Roof Crafter clients will be able to track and keep up with all aspects of their roofing and roof related jobs, including warranty information, shingle type, shingle color and when the roof was installed. Pictures at various stages of the project are also provided.

Keeping this information properly stored and easily accessible is also vitally important for many clients that are having roof repairs performed due to damage from weather or other accidents. The portal makes it easy for clients to retrieve information for insurance purposes, or even if they wish to sell their house a number of years later and want to provide the buyers with the correct information about the roofing materials.

Working in construction for over two decades, Chuck Magee realized that a client-access system such as the one developed by Roof Crafters was sorely needed in the industry. Being able to access information at their leisure helps clients feel better about their projects and provides them with a more comprehensive, detailed record.

As a trusted expert in the industry, it was especially important to Chuck that his clients could get as much assistance and information as they needed when they needed it. He states that he is “especially excited to launch this new software for Roof Crafters clients to stay up to date on their roofing projects.”

Chuck knows that every roofing job is different, and having completed a re-roofing of his own home, he has firsthand experience of the challenges and inconveniences these projects can cause for his clients. This makes him a much more understanding and sympathetic consultant for those in the middle of a difficult roofing project, and it is why he thinks that the CRM product developed by Roof Crafters will be such a benefit to the residents of Louisiana.

Roof Crafters Gives Away New Roof

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 2016-Jun-22 — /EPR CONSTRUCTION NEWS/ — After Roof Crafters gives away new roof, Mid-city homeowner Yolanda White was delighted to hear her leaking roof would get fixed when a team of volunteers from Tulsa, Ok. came to town. Then the news got better.

Roof-Crafters-Client baton rouge-450x297

After Roof Crafters gives away new roof, Mid-city homeowner Yolanda White was delighted to hear her leaking roof would get fixed when a team of volunteers from Tulsa, Ok. came to town. Then the news got better.

The project at White’s house changed when Vaughn, an Owens-Corning Platinum Contractor, contacted Magee, another Platinum Preferred installer with Owens Corning, to see if Magee had a “backup crew” available in case inclement weather or other difficulties forced the Tulsa team to return home before the project was complete. Being community minded Roof Crafters gives away new roof by providing all the labor to install the roofing system.

“[Magee] said, ‘Hey, I’ve got a crew that will do the whole thing,’” Vaughn said. Materials were donated by ABC Supply, a nationwide supplier.

White’s one-story home was elevated after the storm, but the roof was not replaced at the time. White has lived in the 50-year old house for 15 years.

Team coordinator Dr. Amy Emerson said the team wanted to help White because she gives so much to others.

“She is an incredible lady who uses her vacation time each year to cook two hot meals for children in the Hollygrove neighborhood, who attend a week-long summer camp,” Emerson said. “It’s fun to see all kinds of people come together to do this project.”

Other activities held in conjunction with the team’s visit included a “Pete the Cat” literacy event, based on the popular children’s series books by Eric Litwin. Free books were provided for children that attended. The churches are co-led by ministers Charles Marsalis and Kirk Garrison.

While the long-standing partnership with the Oklahoma team has made them “family,” White said the focus of the week was on the children and not the adults workers. “Even though it’s just for a few days, the children are getting something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.”

The Metropolitan Council approves a $2M grant to fund a landmark, transit-oriented development in the heart of St. Louis Park, Minnesota

St. Louis Park, MN, December 11, 2015 — /EPR CONSTRUCTION NEWS/ — On December 9, 2015 and after overwhelming enthusiasm and support from a rigorous application and vetting process, the Metropolitan Council approved funding for PLACE’s St. Louis Park Community. The Council approved 2 million dollars in funding from its Livable Communities Account for a Transit-Oriented Development (LCA-TOD) grant after the proposed project demonstrated a breakthrough approach to meeting housing and economic development needs in the Twin Cities. The funds will be used to help secure site acquisition at the former McGarvey Coffee property, pioneer alternative energy sources, and integrate stormwater improvement with infrastructure like green roofs and an urban forest.

A nonprofit called PLACE (Projects Linking Art, Community, and Environment) heads up the community endeavor in concert with the City of St. Louis Park, fellow eco-minded and socially conscious companies like Allianz Life, Stantec, Shaw-Lundquist, Lindquist & Vennum, MSR, LIFT, and Rachel Contracting that have invested in the project, other private partners, and public collaborators like Hennepin County. The community will elevate affordable living, design, and artistic culture in the city and will be located near the expected Green Line extension (Southwest Light Rail) Wooddale Station. The development’s potential positive impact is staggering, with healthy homes for 300 households across the income spectrum supported by a mobility hub, urban agriculture, live and work spaces, a hotel, and a renewable energy generation system that consumes food waste created by its inhabitants and surrounding neighbors.

Chris Velasco, PLACE’s Executive Director, observed, “I think this project will be of national significance for communities that want to effectively leverage their scarce resources.”

Ryan Kelley, City of St. Louis Park Planner, says, “The City of St. Louis Park is extremely proud to be the co-recipient with PLACE of the Met Council’s largest transit oriented development grant for a new sustainable community of regional significance.”

“PLACE is an excellent project, for the city and the region. Turning vacant, unused property into a community space with alternative energy features, that is connected to other uses, like transit, is just the kind of investment the Council wants to make toward a livable communities and a prosperous region” – Erin Heelan, TOD Grants Coordinator, Metropolitan Council Livable Communities.

Executive Director Velasco thanks the Metropolitan Council for its confidence and support on behalf of the entire team and the residents of St. Louis Park.

Contractorcoaching.com: Construction Jobs Outpaces Workers Availability

After years of trimming jobs in the wake of the Great Recession, contractors and subcontractors say the pendulum has swung the other way, and now they are looking to hire skilled workers who are no longer available in the job market.

“I said this two years ago, if we have a full-speed recovery in the construction industry, we will not have the available workers to fill the jobs,” said Henry Goudreau, CEO & Founder of HG & Associates, Inc., and http://www.contractorcoaching.com. “The only way to correct this is by a grassroots effort by contractors in offering training, or convincing high school candidates to take construction training courses. It is in our best interest to start working on this now rather than later.”

To make up the shortfall, builders are training workers themselves, recruiting from outside the area and working with local technical schools on a slate of new training programs expected to begin in the fall.

Goudreau offers a report for contractors on how to increase sales and drive more money to their bottom-line. It is free for contractors by going to http://tinyurl.com/me78v37.

Business-Building Coach Henry Goudreau Warns Contractors Of The Two Huge Hurdles The Construction Industry Has To Overcome Before A Recovery Can Take Place!

Anyone who watches the job market closely knows that the construction sector has been weak in this recovery, and is just starting to show an increase in numbers of employment. Unfortunately, there is another problem rearing its ugly head.

“Contractors have suffered deeply and carried the brunt of this recession of the last six years. In February, employment in construction changed little, just adding less than 15,000 jobs,” said business-building coach to contractors, Henry Goudreau. “However, this is merely the tip of the iceberg. There are two immense hurdles to overcome for contractors, other than finding and employing skilled craftsman,” says Goudreau. “The second killer is financing,” he warns.

While the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury rescued major banks amid the 2008 financial crisis to avert major financial chaos, the bailout didn’t help the small lenders. “Their disappearance, along with the lack of lending by the major banks, has left the contractor hanging out to dry.” explained Goudreau.

“There a two huge voids that contractors must find a way to fill,” said Goudreau. “Filling a demand for skilled craftsmen, and finding start-up funding. Both are going to hit the contractor on the side of the head, especially, if the economy picks up speed and momentum, and together, they will stifle any chance for the industry to get back on the right track out of this recession. With that said, contractors have to get their financial house in order so they can fund their work, and find skilled craftsmen. I can help them get a better handle on their business and build their financial ability, but I believe the labor level will have to be addressed at the local school or vocational tech level since so many have left the industry for greener pastures or retirement.”

Leading flooring manufacturer Flowcrete North America Inc is introducing at World of Concrete 2013 the world-renowned Deckshield parking protection systems into the Americas market.

Flowcrete Deckshield has built-up an extensive track record protecting outdoor parking structures within Europe, the Middle East and Asia – and is now being manufactured by Flowcrete North America for projects across the Americas.

The system – available in a choice of polyurethane and rapid-curing MMA variants – is being introduced on the back of increased demand for a product capable of delivering both a protective and aesthetic function in modern parking environments.

Tony Crowell, Managing Director of Flowcrete North America Inc, which has its headquarters in Conroe, Texas, said: “World of Concrete is the perfect place to introduce the Deckshield systems to the Americas audience.”

As the growth in construction of commercial structures continues, more and more cars visit airports, retail malls, hotels, office blocks and public buildings.

By utilizing the very best of protective coating systems on the internal structure of the parking area, visual appearance can be enhanced, light reflectivity improved, traffic movement regulated and ongoing structural maintenance can be kept to an absolute minimum.

“We feel Deckshield has an exciting future in these new markets and will become a major part of our business in the years to come.”

Much more…

As well as launching Deckshield at the Las Vegas event, Flowcrete North America Inc is also promoting products including Flowfresh FCUV a four-component, semi gloss UV light stable polyurethane concrete coating. Designed to be used as a UV stable sealer or as a lock coat for quartz broadcast floors with Flowcrete’s hygienic Flowfresh flooring systems, FCUV includes the Polygiene® antimicrobial system, offering exceptional chemical resistance.

Flowseal Ultra, a fast curing and UV stable polyurea coating, is also being featured at World of Concrete. A two-component, chemical resistant system, it is designed to be used as a fast curing UV stable sealer, or a receiving coat for flakes and quartz broadcast systems.

Flowcrete will also be talking to visitors to their stand at World of Concrete about the company’s advantage within the marketplace in the manufacture of sustainable flooring.

Tony Crowell added: “We pride ourselves on being the green conscious flooring specialist.”

In line with its sustainable corporate philosophy, Flowcrete North America has restricted the use of toxic components in our flooring products. This includes manufacturing products that are free of components including Phthalate, Nonyl Phenol and Solvents.

Flowcrete Flooring System Delivers High Level Protection In Healthcare Environment

Flowcrete North America Inc utilized the latest in high performance flooring technology to deliver a customized solution at a Texan healthcare center.

Park Ten Surgical Center, located in Houston, contacted the commercial flooring specialist for advice on how to address a building defect at ground level.

A moisture problem, originated in part by the vinyl tile (VCT) installed throughout the facility, caused bubbling

Flowcrete North America and its approved contractor Prepco Flooring, created a tailored solution, specifically designed to solve Park Ten’s flooring issue.

They were able to call on their combined expertise to deliver a complete flooring package, which offered an antimicrobial, seamless and decorative finish.

Flowfresh SLB, a seamless, self-leveling and chemical resistant polyurethane concrete system, was installed across 7,000 square feet of the facility’s hallways and surgery rooms, in a decorative flake finish.

Tony Crowell, Managing Director of Flowcrete North America Inc, which has its headquarters in Conroe, Texas, said: “Like any of Flowcrete’s Flowfresh products, Flowfresh SLB contains Polygiene®, an innovative antimicrobial additive that reduces the generation of bacterial population on the surface of the floor by up to 99 per cent.

One of the Flowfresh advantages is that Polygiene® remains active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during the complete lifetime of the floor, for maximum hygiene performance.

In addition, Flowfresh SLB offers excellent resistance to moisture vapor transmission, eliminating the passage of water vapor to the surface, which ultimately avoids delaminating of the floor system.”

The system was coated and sealed using Peran STC and Flowseal UV. These low odor products deliver a durable and robust finish to the floor system, which provides chemical and abrasion resistance and a UV stable formulation to retain the color integrity of the floor finish.

According to Chris Riedel, General Manager at Park Ten: “Thanks to past and similar successful project experiences, Flowcrete North America and Prepco Flooring were able to delivered an antimicrobial, seamless and decorative flooring system, addressing the moisture vapor resistance required by us. We are proud to offer our patients the highest quality of care in a comfortable, convenient environment.”
