Free 35 Point Roof Inspections And Insurance Deductible Assistance Throughout Southern Illinois Provided By Integrity Roofing & Exteriors

Integrity Roofing & Exteriors: In response to recent storm damage throughout Southern Ill. is offering free 35 point roof inspections and insurance deductible assistance.

Integrity Roofing & Exteriors

Record catastrophic hail and wind storms strike southern Illinois in 2009 leaving many with roof damage that they aren’t even aware of. Integrity Roofing and Exteriors helps hundreds, not only rebuild, but sift through the complicated insurance process.

Integrity Roofing and Exteriors, the premier residential restoration firm in the Midwest, announced today that its Southern Illinois office will help home owners throughout the Southern Illinois area this year, not only rebuild, but understand and work through the often complex insurance claims process.

“Most homeowners do not realize they have hail damage. Why? It is impossible to see damage from the ground,” states Brian James. “Homeowners need a trained professional who knows the difference between nail pops, blistering and hail damage. Just because your car didn’t get dinged up doesn’t mean the integrity of your roof hasn’t been compromised. The solution is to have a trained professional examine your roof up close. And since our company offers a no obligation, free, 35 point inspection, homeowners have nothing to lose – with one exception. If homeowners wait and do not file a claim in time, they may have to pay out of pocket.”

In addition to offering homeowners great workmanship and great customer service, Integrity has a team of insurance claim specialists that assist homeowners in understanding and working through the often complex insurance claims process.

I want to sing the praises of a local roofing company, Integrity Roofing and Exteriors. They completed my new roof earlier this year. They met with my insurance adjuster and myself, and made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. They kept me up-to-date with my project, and always returned my calls. Not only was the work that they provided exceptional, but I also loved the warranty that I received at no additional charge. They workers were very clean and professional, and my service was wonderful. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs roof work done.

Oakhurst Conservatory Blinds Starts 20% Spring/Summer Sale

Selecting the correct kind of conservatory blind raises a number of complex issues which do not normally apply to blinds elsewhere in the house. Conservatory blinds are also more costly especially in large structures so it pays to make the correct choice in order to avoid the buyer´s remorse! In this article we will be focusing on the key issues.

It might be obvious but sometimes conservatory owners overlook the most common questions which are simply, “Why do I need conservatory blinds” Do I even want them at all? And if I install them will they do what I need them to do. Ask yourself, “Do I know what I want them to achieve?” If your answer is, “To keep the sun out” Take a look at the wider picture.

Conservatory Blinds – What can they achieve?

1. Reflect huge amounts of solar heat. South facing conservatories or those on bungalows where there is no top storey to offer shade need them.

2. Dissipate the excesses of solar radiation. Structures that face all directions but north usually need blinds that tackle the issue of heat.

3. Reduce uncomfortable areas of direct sunlight. A conservatory that has direct sun light is likely to have uncomfortable levels of heat even in winter on sunny days.

4. Protects furniture and plants

5. Provides privacy and protection

6. Gives the conservatory thermal insulation. In winter even a double glazed conservatory looses lots of heat as it radiates through the glass on those dark evenings. Blinds reduce radiated heat loss.

7. Resistance to dust, moisture and insects especially in rural areas.

8. Reflects light back to the conservatory on dark cold evenings. Conservatory lighting often struggles to illuminate a conservatory without blinds as the light radiates outwards into the night instead of returning into the conservatory.

Roller Blinds Vs Pleated Blinds

Both these kinds of conservatory blinds have been around for a while so both can be said to look traditional yet both can be contemporary, this is to do with your choice of fabric. For roof blinds the main drawback with roller blinds is that when the blind is retracted the collection of dust that inevitably builds up gets transferred onto the front side of the fabric as the roller rolls the clean face on the dirt. With pleated blinds all dirt is kept on the protected side of the conservatory blind. Conservatories attract a lot of insects in the summer when doors and windows are open this should to be taken seriously rather than treated as a ´small issue´

Most pleated conservatory blinds can be operated by an extension pole and in most cases it is unnecessary to have lots of control cords. This is not the case with roller blinds.

Roller conservatory blinds offer no particular advantage over pleated blinds and are usually picked for their appearance.

Oakhust Conservatory Blinds are offering a 20% discount on all purchases before the end of May

ServiceSpider.com – An Auction Website For Homeowners And Contractors

ServiceSpider makes the online auction process that has long been used by companies like eBay, available for homeowners and contractors to buy and sell services on the Internet.

After beta testing for a year ServiceSpider releases a new version of their auction website with many new features such as forums. On ServiceSpider.com homeowners can save time and money by letting contractors compete for their home improvement needs.

Homeowner Haye Kesteloo came up with the idea for ServiceSpider while working on a bathroom remodel project in 2006. “As I started to contact different contractors to get quotes for my project, I found it difficult to establish what a fair price should be for a job well done.” Prices, time estimates, and other factors varied from one contractor to another, and Kesteloo found himself wondering if there wasn’t a better way to navigate the Home Improvement market using the Internet. Kesteloo decided to stop wondering and to make the idea a reality, helping homeowners and contractors in the process. With that plan in motion, ServiceSpider was born.

Most homeowners know how difficult and time consuming it can be to find the right contractor for a home improvement job. Scheduling appointments, checking references and licenses and other related issues can make a job seem much more difficult than it needs to be. This is where ServiceSpider comes in. As a homeowner, one needs only to go to http://www.servicespider.com, and create a posting about the job that needs to be done. Need a leaky shower fixed? Maybe it’s time to upgrade the electrical panel? Or perhaps it’s time to replace those old windows? Whatever the home improvement needs are, once the job is posted at ServiceSpider, the service request will show up on the site’s home page, and will be automatically send to matching service providers in the area. Free of charge to the homeowner, ServiceSpider will have pre-screened contractors offering competing bids for the job. One can even read the reviews from other homeowners on different contractors and see how they are rated.

Currently, in the greater New York area alone, there are over 700 service providers, so a match can be made quickly and efficiently. The homeowner chooses how, when and where they will be contacted, be it phone, fax, or email. The homeowner is in charge!

For Haye Kesteloo, making ServiceSpider a success is a full time job. He knows that finding the right contractor for the right job and for the right price can be a challenge, especially in the current economic climate. Kesteloo offers the following advice: “Take your time when choosing the right contractor. Don’t let yourself be hurried into making a decision. Make sure the contractor you hire is licensed and insured and that you receive a written contract.”

For additional information regarding ServiceSpider, please contact Haye Kesteloo directly or go to www.servicespider.com.

Innovative Glow-In-Dark Signs Utilize Latest Photo Luminescent Technology To Replace Old Exit Signs, While Providing Building Owners An Eco-Friendly Alternative

Eco Exit Signs photo

Heading for the exit is now more energy efficient and eco-friendly with the new Glo Brite® Eco Exit™ signs available to owners of commercial buildings, stores, living centers, manufacturing sites and healthcare facilities.

Unlike the old lighted exit signs, the Eco Exit signs need no electricity, wiring, bulbs or battery backup to point the way out of a building during a blackout, smoky conditions or at night. The Eco Exit signs utilize the latest photo luminescent technology to absorb and store ambient light, becoming immediately visible in dark conditions from up to 50 feet away.

Eco Exit signs consume zero energy, have zero operating costs and zero maintenance and disposal costs, while reducing the carbon footprint of the facility. They also are a safer alternative to signs using radioactive tritium technology.

A building with 100 Glo Brite Eco Exit signs can save as much as $3,500 a year in energy cost and reduce air pollution by almost a half million pounds of carbon dioxide compared with electrical signs over the 25 year life expectancy of the product.

These innovative emergency signs are available in steel or plastic models and are easy to install. They use standard brackets and may be surface, flag or ceiling mounted in new or retrofit construction.

“These Eco Exit signs are a huge improvement over traditional exit signs,” stated Dan Ruminski, president of Martinson-Nicholls, Inc, Willoughby, OH, a master distributor of the product. “They are environmentally friendly, with cost and energy savings all in one maintenance-free product that provides immediate return on investment.”

XHHW Wire Preferred by Many Electrical Contractors Verse THHN Wire

HHW, an electrical copper building wire, is proving to be a favorite over the more standard THHN building wire by many electrical contractors and installers.

XHHW stands for Cross-Linked High Heat Water Resistant Insulated Wire. Today’s XHHW is manufactured to XHHW-2 standard meaning it is rated in wet and dry environments up to 90C. XHHW is found both in stranded and solid constructions and various jacket colors.

THHN stands for Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon-coated. THHN is also found in both stranded and solid copper conductors but uses a nylon coating for mechanical and protection for gas and oil.

The key difference between the two building wires is XHHW utilizes cross-linked polyethylene (XPLE) and THHN uses a poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) as the insulation over the conductor. XHHW performs better in the low temperature environments and has a higher K Value, or better electrical properties.

“We continue to see more and more customers request XHHW over THHN now that copper prices have dropped again. XHHW has better current carrying capacity giving it the ability to withstand meltdown better, and even with its marginal price increase, many customers make it their choice over THNN,” remarked Bryce Huett, President of Distributor Wire & Cable in Denver, Colorado.

XHHW typically cost 10-20% more than THHN but that gap is closing as cross-linked polyethylene becomes more and more available. It is worth noting that the nylon coating on THHN wire makes it stiffer than its building wire counter part. Installers always prefer a more pliable product when trying to pull their runs throughout a structure.

Distributor Wire & Cable is a nationwide electrical wholesaler for all types of wire and cable including XHHW and THHN building wire. For more information on their products and services, call 888-439-2947 or visit www.distributorwire.com.

Tankless Or On Demand Water Heaters At A Fair Price

Just the right air
We have just shopped around on the internet and found a new site JUST THE RIGHT AIR and found them to be as fair as anyone with price. Not only is the price fair but our tank is shipped out the same day. So if you would like to save money on a new tankless water heater go to instantaneouswaterheaters Demand (tankless or instantaneous) water heaters provide hot water only as it is needed. They don’t produce the standby energy losses associated with storage water heaters, which can save you money. Here you’ll find basic information about how they work, whether a demand water heater might be right for your home, and what criteria to use when selecting the right model. Just click here for pricing on several different models available at tankless water heaters and if you do not see what you want just call and you can get a price on any Tankless available today.

How They Work
Demand water heaters heat water directly without the use of a storage tank. Therefore, they avoid the standby heat losses associated with storage tanks. When a hot water tap is turned on, cold water travels through a pipe into the unit. Either a gas burner or an electric element heats the water. As a result, demand water heaters deliver a constant supply of hot water. You don’t need to wait for a storage tank to fill up with enough hot water. However, a demand water heater’s output limits the flow rate.

Typically, demand water heaters provide hot water at a rate of 2–5 gallons (7.6–15.2 liters) per minute. Gas-fired demand water heaters produce higher flow rates than electric ones. Sometimes, however, even the largest, gas-fired model cannot supply enough hot water for simultaneous, multiple uses in large households. For example, taking a shower and running the dishwasher at the same time can stretch a demand water heater to its limit. So even though you could have endless hot water, you can only produce so many gallons a minute. To overcome this problem, you can install two or more demand water heaters, connected in parallel for simultaneous demands of hot water. You can also install separate demand water heaters for appliances—such as a clothes washer or dishwater—that use a lot of hot water in your home. The ideas are endless like the hot water. A New Software Program Allows California Contractors To Draft Their Own Customized Contracts Legal For California Law

The new Construction Contract Writer software program from Craftsman Book Company offers construction professionals an affordable and convenient way to create fair and balanced custom-tailored construction contracts that meet state requirements. A free feature-limited trial is available at www.constructioncontractwriter.com.

Publisher Gary Moselle explains that Construction Contract Writer is a Generation III contract authoring program: “For 100 years, architectural and engineering associations have offered contracts on paper. That was Generation I. None of these contracts were written to protect contractors. And it isn’t easy to make changes in a printed form. Generation II was contracts on disk. Changes were possible. But there was no way to adjust contract bias. Construction Contract Writer is the first Generation III application. Users adjust contract bias to fit the job.” A bias indicator shows which way the contract is leaning and by how much.

Construction Contract Writer uses a question and answer “interview” model – walking users through a comprehensive checklist of contract topics. Length and depth of the interview adjusts with user responses. Moselle sums it up like this, “If you know the job and you know what the job requires, Construction Contract Writer will do the rest.” An ‘explainer’ describes in plain English the purpose and meaning of each contract clause. No legal background is required.

Moselle says there will be a Construction Contract Writer edition for every state. “The law in every state is different. No contract fits all states. A contract that doesn’t comply with state law can leave a contractor with no way to collect the contract price.” The California version is now available for download. Arizona, Alabama, Florida, New York and Texas are next on the list for roll-out.

“Even experienced construction contract attorneys will find good uses for Construction Contract Writer,” says Moselle. The program cites state court decisions and code sections relevant to key interview questions.

The program is offered as a free feature-limited trial. Product activation costs $99.95 and unlocks the copy, paste and print functions. Twelve months of legal content and program updates are included with the purchase price.

Craftsman Book Company provides unlimited free technical support during normal business hours (weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific). Once activated, Construction Contract Writer users receive legal support via e-mail. There is no limit and no charge. Customers can expect a response within 24 hours. Construction Contract Writer runs on Windows XP and Windows Vista computers.

Craftsman Book Company publishes over 100 construction-related titles and has been in business since 1950. Craftsman’s customers include contractors, estimators, remodelers, custom builders, architects, engineers, adjusters and appraisers. Craftsman’s Web site, http://craftsman-book.com, also offers trial downloads of their estimating costbooks and software.

Just because your car didn’t receive hail damage doesn’t mean your roof is not damaged

About Integrity Roofing and Exteriors. Integrity Roofing and Exteriors is committed to the community it serves providing employment and resources for long-term cooperative growth. There commitment to 5 star customer service is unprecedented in the construction industry.

Integrity Roofing: Just because your car didn’t receive hail damage doesn’t mean your roof is not damaged.

Record catastrophic hail storms strike El Paso in 2007 and again in 2008. Integrity Roofing and Exteriors helps hundreds, not only rebuild, but sift through the complicated insurance process.

Integrity Roofing and Exteriors, the premier residential restoration firm in the Southwest, announced today that its El Paso office has helped home owners throughout the El Paso area this year, not only rebuild, but understand and work through the often complex insurance claims process.

Happy in El Paso, Robert Integrity has had to increase its production capabilities this year to keep up with demand. On any given day the company has workers in the area re-roofing homes, as well as helping with siding, gutters, and other exterior trades. With a strong commitment quality control, Integrity has one of the highest customer satisfaction rates in the industry.

Natural Stone Restoration Classes For Those In The Stone Restoration Trade Or Those That Are Starting A New Enterprise

Josveek Huligar, a founding member of the Natural Stone Restoration Alliance, an association of independent stone restoration professionals has conducted a very popular monthly class on the art of detailed restoration of natural stone countertops for a few years. Due to many requests, an additional class to the weekend itinerary this year included natural stone floors. This particular segment of the self described “boot camp” has become a demand in the field of stone restoration.

The weekend classes are described by Mr. Huligar as“A true “hands-on” experience. No seats. No stories. No sales pitch. Each student has the opportunity to perform multiple repairs, honing and the highly coveted art of top-polishing an additional note to the counter top repair class; the students receive a full set of tools including a variable polisher inclusive in the price of the class. Everything you need to get started.”

Those who have attended the recent class had this to say;

“I went to the class in hopes of going home confident that I could “DO” the best quality work not just understand the theory and fundamentals like I have in other “learning scenarios.” I also wanted to learn as quickly as possible so we could learn as much as possible in a short time. I think both of those goals were met. Now comes the confidence building from experience and practice.

Thanks again to youJofor being willing to share your excellence in your craft, and to Topshop for the hospitality and help, and Tim Scarlata of atlanticgranite.com and Topshop of topshopllc.com for the fabricators perspective, and the learning I received from the everyone’s experience who attended.

I had a great time!!! (Still a bit stiff and sore, but a great time!)”–Duane Brock- Omaha NB.

Al Shulze of WeDoFloors – Orlando Flresponded,“I can honestly say just learning Jo’s floor method, will cut my time in half. If you’re just starting out in the business Take the class and get a foundation it will save you a ton of money from buying unnecessary equipment and time on the job.”

“The class was everything stated above and more. It exceeded my wildest expectations. Now Jo is another story in itself. His charisma and humor is second to none. Now let’s see if that gives good old Jo a big head. Lol.”Ken Albrecht- Plano TX.

“The classes are very hands on and a lot of very useful tips and technique’s, on floor refinishing and granite repair. Jo’s a good teacher, knows what he’s doing!!!” Paul Malarz- Rochester NY.

Dave Wilson of Seam- Master StoneCare CA. adds“Jo showed me how to push the limits with heat and popping a shine. It really opened me up to perfecting my floor process. I went to the class hoping to learn a few things and was not disappointed.”

“It was nice to meet everyone at the class and thanks to TopShop for the facilities, help and food during the day. I have picked up two jobs on granite repairs and travertine scratch removal and feel confident that I can handle any problems it can throw at me.”George Barnes- Denver CO.

“Thank you Josveek Huligar for sharing your knowledge, techniques and passion for natural stone. I have been to many classes and seminars and I learned more from the NSRA class than all the others combined.Thank you Dave (TOPSHOP) for the use of your shop and all the tips you gave me.

It is obvious that the NSRA is truly dedicated to helping improve the stone industry. Anyone who passes on this class is making a HUGE mistake. Thank you to all involved. I will back the NSRA 100%” Tim Scarlata of atlanticgranite.com- Rochester NY

“Great class” said Paul Klees from Bonstone.“I received some valuable hands-on training with respect to surface polishing and repair techniques. It was amazing to see the use of different diamonds, pressure and the little amount of water needed to achieve a nice polish. I will definitely attend another class to brush up on my skills.”

“The class is described as a three day, 9 to 5, training session It’s more like you’re finished when you’ve completed the task successfully. Exactly as it is in the real world. There are no time limits to the class.” Steve Patrick, Patrick Stone Restoration – Columbus OH.

“The amount that I have learned in the four days I was up there has surpassed years of working with stone. I looked at many other classes offered. What encouraged me to select this class is the unorthodox way to restore stone by using many different distributors products and chemicals – and even making our own! There were endless varieties and techniques that could be used. Overall, learned invaluable techniques and methods that can save me time – make more money, and understand more about the constantly changing stone industry – keeping me on top of my game. Granite which was my adversary, had now become a friend, and all other stones a piece of cake to work with! Thanks to all in the class and especially with Jo for his patience and time to answer all my questions to the fullest.” Glenn K, Advanced Stone Restoration, Oahu Hawaii

Students from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Hawaii as well as from the mainland of the U.S. have gathered to learn from this stone restoration expert. From the beginners to the seasoned professionals, the class has had it’s impact. It is also interesting to note that once you take the class and participate actively on the NSRA forum you can attend the class to advance your skills for free. No other class offers this truly unique offer. Do not be fooled by the imitators on the internet that have tried to copy this unique program. Learn from the originator.

Josveek adds, “We are setting up the next class for 2009, it will be taking place on February 6th-8th. in Rochester NY. Two days for counters and one full day for floors. We’ll be offering an additional class for a small fee on the 9th for practice or advanced techniques. We will give full details as soon as we have it all worked out with tooling.”

Ultimately the “boot camp” is for those who have a real interest in learning the stone restoration trade or to advance their existing skills. From the art of restoring counter tops to floors, this class has it covered.

Aquavida Pool Remodeling Specializes In Swimming Pool Remodeling And Resurfacing, Offering Eco-Friendly Pool Solutions

Green’s the new black, as the fashionistas of the world would say, and it’s hitting the pool and spa runway full force. Energy-saving, eco-friendly products are making their way into the market, teasing dealers with trendier options and enticing homeowners to save a buck or two — not to mention the Earth. It’s time to look into upgrading and revamping the pool and making way for the next generation of “greener” pastures.

“The average age of pools we are remodeling is 15 to 20 years old,” says Thomas Lopez, president of Aquavida Pools in Phoenix. “At that point in time, they didn’t really offer any economical or efficient motors back then.” But times have changed, and repair-driven pool remodels are now taking a backseat to lifting up the hood and replacing what’s inside — because you want to, not because you have to.

Pool remodeling can be costly, especially if moving toward a more eco-friendly backyard. It’s an investment, says Lopez, and one that not everyone is able to make.

Green pool makeovers are a smaller part of the remodels Aquavida Pools does, says Lopez, because of the financial investment Green renovations can cost anywhere from $1000 to $35,000, adds Lopez, depending on what’s being done.

One of the main consumer selling points of going green — besides being more eco-friendly, of course — is the financial payback. But the initial cost of the project can scare customers away from green renovations. In today’s unstable economy, customers may have a hard time seeing beyond the bottom line and into the future.

Pump Magic
For the consumer who has just started thinking about remodeling a pool, there is a good place to start that doesn’t break the bank. “Probably the most economical approach is the basic industry-standard upgrade pump, an [energy efficient motor],” suggests Lopez. “The armatures in the motors consume less energy,” adds Lopez, so at a minimum, he recommends customers doing this upgrade.

But for consumers who are able to put a little more investment into their pool remodel, Lopez recommends a programmable pump. While these pumps generally cost more than the standard upgrade, their payback is well worth it.

Behind The Curtain
Micromanaging the pool through the use of a home automation system has really taken off, and while it’s more popular to the buying public as a convenience, manufacturers are eagerly finding ways for consumers to understand its energy-saving purpose, as well.

Incorporating an automated system during the pool remodeling process is a must have for the pool owner on the go. Time is a precious commodity these days and an automated pool makes life that much simpler.

“Controls themselves add flexibility and automation to managing the pool, even if people have got time clocks,” says Lopez. “Whenever you’ve got a proper pool controller, you can have multi-day or weekend settings. You can have settings for different periods of the year.”

Not only does automation offer a finer, more optimized control of pump speed, but it also allows “you to do a better job of managing energy-efficient equipment. You claim more energy savings from it, and at times, it’s what actually enables the energy savings in some of the other equipment.

Here And There
Little upgrades also mean bigger savings. Lopez recommends owners change over to LED lighting. The lights consume considerably less power and they last a lot longer, not to mention, “you probably have around a 80 percent savings in energy consumption with LED lighting,” he adds.

A simpler renovation suggestion is a programmable time clock. Phoenix’s swim season ends around the middle of October, says Lopez, but he notes that customers with a typical Intermatic time clock would still allow the pool to run on an eight-hour cycle, even during the off-season.

“So when you have a programmable time clock, you are able to put two program groups in it and set it to the exact day, so it will switch from group A to B, meaning summer and winter,” adds Lopez. Oftentimes, Lopez groups the time clock with the standard energy-efficient motor, inviting customers to start with a small, yet affordable eco-friendly renovation.

“Clearly, when you look at the energy savings opportunity, that falls in very nicely with the big push that’s going on in the world at large,” says Lopez. “Everybody is paying attention to the energy crisis. We aren’t green for the sake of being green. Everything is focused on the payback for the consumer. People are looking for the payback.”

Cement Central Announced Today That It Has Partnered With Its Current Suppliers To Offer Cement Starting As Low As US$60MT

Cement Central announced today that in an aggressive move to combat the ever increasing cost of cement to Dubai, it has partnered with its current suppliers to offer cement starting as low as US$60MT, a major offset from the current price of US$90MT which seems to have become the norm.

From the Middle East to Russia, the cement industry is witnessing global robust growth amid a massive international construction boom. Cement & concrete companies are facing bigger challenges and higher demand by the day with companies continuing to invest in increasing capacity and sustainable technology.

With countries like Egypt & India suspending their cement exports the increasing demand is outpacing the supply from the UAE to Qatar to East Africa. In a region where $1.7 trillion worth of real estate is being constructed or being planned, price trends in the cement industry take on heightened significance.

The bad news for local property developers and contractors is that the price of cement in Dubai is constantly increasing according to figures published by Emirates Industrial Bank. This year alone, bills for bulk cement shot up by around 20 per cent – reaching more than Dh330 per tonne earlier this month, say cement buyers. While cement factories enjoy profitable times – some say they are taking advantage of high demand – the trend is putting strain on the construction industry.

Carlos Perez said “Even government projects are being affected” and quoted, Ebrahim Al Shehhi, director, UAE Ministry of Public Works as saying “As a ministry we are tendering two or three times for a project. Contractors are not coming forward because they don’t know what the price of steel, cement and electrical cable will be the next day.”

“A number of mega projects in infrastructure, tourism and real estate are currently in various stages — from designing, tendering to construction — and the same trend is likely to continue in the coming years and it will create regular demand for cement in the country,” said Carlos Perez, Managing Director of Cement Central. The massive scope of these projects and the fast pace of expansion is giving rise to high demand for various building and construction materials, especially cement. As local cement producers are unable to keep up with demand, more and more cement is being imported from other countries. This is where companies like Cement Central can aid with cement importing needs.

Cement imports have soared during the past three years as a result of the unprecedented construction activities here that accompanied the overall economic boom in the UAE and the region. The sharp increase in oil prices is a major reason for this boom.

A Cement Central client was quoted as saying “the shortage in cement had already caused an increase in operating costs, which had forced most companies to increase prices of concrete by an extra Dh40 per cubic metre and it was difficult to increase prices where contracts with clients exist, and that in such situations, ready-mix companies are taking on all the losses.” Being aware of the crisis facing contractors and builders in Dubai, Cement Central and its suppliers felt the need to step in and offer cement at competitive prices that wouldn’t break their budgets.

“Even though we distribute globally, our immediate focus is on emerging Middle Eastern and European markets” says Carlos Perez. We currently have a 60 million MT allocation geared towards helping the ever growing expansion in Dubai. Cement Central provides up to date pricing and procedures on its website www.CementCentral.com and welcomes broker inquiries. Our supplier’s contract will reflect their firm intent and ability to do business. We deal directly with large allocation holders and as a result, we pass along our competitive advantage and savings to you! Our clients and suppliers span the globe from the Americas to Europe and Asia and our extensive product and marketing knowledge make us the obvious choice.
